Digital media or traditional. Long-form or concise. I help brands connect with consumers.
I was born and raised in Seattle with a healthy admiration for grunge culture (Nirvana), hip hop (Sir Mix-a-Lot), technology (Microsoft) and caffeine (Starbucks).
In 2004, I graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Mass Communications. I had so much fun in college, I wrote a couple books about my experiences – First Semester and Next Semester – both published by Harlequin (names were changed to protect the guilty).
Over the years, I have contributed to several leading music, culture and lifestyle magazines. In 2015, I co-authored The Dream Is Real, a best-selling memoir chronicling the rise of music executive Kenny Burns.
My love for storytelling and creating compelling narratives led to an award-winning career as a senior copywriter at both digital and traditional agencies. Blue chip clients include: Verizon, Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola, The American Cancer Society, BMW, Jack Daniel’s, Hillshire Farm, Nissan, KFC, Amtrak and others.
